What if I’m already registered? Will I be able to claim CME credits? Will there be an exhibition?

How do I register for the virtual conference?

What do I have access to as a registered participant?

The ESO-WSO 2020 virtual conference will offer you a full virtual experience and the opportunity to take part in every aspect of the programme including:

  • Open access to all session recordings – create your own schedule to attend any and all of the sessions whenever and wherever you choose.
  • Network with colleagues – access colleagues easy over the web and start a fruitful discussion
  • Earn CME credits – participate in the scientific programme and be eligible to receive the respective number of CME credits
  • Access all e-posters – browse the latest scientific research and connect with the abstract authors
  • Give feedback – help us improve ourselves
  • Visit the virtual exhibition hall – journey through the exhibition booths, explore the displayed materials, contact exhibitors directly, and chat with other visitors.

What if I am not available during the Conference dates?

The content will be available on-demand after the Conference dates, for all registered participants.

How do I claim my CME credits?

The CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit claiming procedure. You will receive a link by email at the end of the conference. For more information, click here.

Will there be an exhibition?

Yes, there will be a virtual exhibition area.

I am an exhibitor at the conference, what should I do?

We will contact you directly regarding your participation. If you need to get in touch with us, please contact Ms. Noa Freilich Pollack, Industry Liaison.

How do I purchase and use an exhibitor badge?

There is no registration for the exhibition only, all exhibitors and participants may access the full virtual conference and the exhibition.

Is the event cancelled?

No. The ESO-WSO 2020 Conference Planning Group has decided to transform the conference into a fully virtual meeting. This will offer our community the possibility for educational exchanges, scientific news and best practice updates while protecting the safety, health, and well-being of all conference participants.

I have already registered for the Conference in Vienna. Am I automatically registered for the virtual conference?

Yes, you are automatically registered for the virtual conference.

As registration rates are reduced, you are entitled to a refund of the difference in your ticket. More details will follow shortly.

Further details and guidance on how to navigate the meeting platform will be announced in due course.

Will the virtual conference take place at the same time as previously announced?

Yes, the platform will be available between 7 – 9 November 2020, with some live-streamed sessions according to the programme schedule. In addition, the platform and all sessions will be available on-demand following the Conference.

What do I need to attend the virtual conference?

To attend the virtual conference, you need your device, a good internet connection, and valid registration. You will receive login details a few days prior to the meeting.

Will all sessions and lectures that usually take place at the conference be organised online?

ESO-WSO 2020 is doing its best to ensure that the virtual conference will incorporate as much of the usual conference experience and activities as possible. All individuals involved will be contacted and ongoing updates of the programme will be announced in due course.

I am a presenter/speaker at the conference, what should I do?

We will contact you directly regarding your participation in the programme.

If I wish to cancel my registration, will I receive a refund?

If you would like to cancel your registration to the virtual meeting, you are able to receive a 100% refund on registration until 3 July 2020.

Please consult the cancellation policy outlined on the registration page for the most up to date information.

If I booked my hotel with the event organisers, what should I do?

Please check the cancellation policy of your booking.

For your non-refundable accommodation booked by Kenes, the hotels will be contacted to find an optimal solution.

If you have a refundable booking, you will be contacted.

Can I receive a refund for my flight?

ESO-WSO 2020 did not handle transportation booking services.

Please note that the policies of the different airlines are changing rapidly, and we are not responsible for any changes.
