Official ESO-WSO communication: The ESO-WSO Conference has been postponed to 7-9 November 2020

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Due to the latest developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, and in an effort to prevent spreading the virus and for the sake of event participants, the European Stroke Organisation together with the World Stroke Organization, have decided to postpone the ESO-WSO 2020 Conference, scheduled to take place in Vienna from 12-15 May 2020.

The new dates for ESO-WSO 2020 are 7-9 November.
The conference will take place at the same venue, Austria Center Vienna and current registrations will be transferred to the new Conference dates.
In the coming weeks we will be updating the website with new registration deadlines, new programme scheduling and additional information.

ESO-WSO 2020 is your meeting. The community depends on your active participation in sharing your research, your insights and your expertise. This highly anticipated Conference will be worth the wait!

In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience and support, and wish you, your colleagues and families good health and resilience.

Please find below answers to most frequently asked questions regarding the COVID-19 developments.

Is the event cancelled?

No.
Due to the latest developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, we have taken the decision to postpone the Conference.
The new dates for ESO-WSO 2020 are 6-9 November (November 6 being the pre-conference day).

Will my registration still be valid if the event is postponed?

Yes, your registration will be transferred to the new event dates 6-9 November 2020.

What happens if I cannot travel to the event on these new dates?

We are currently exploring options to live stream the programme for all registered participants who are not able to attend in person. You will still be able to claim CME credits for sessions you attend virtually. More information for presenters and participants will follow.

Will the event be live streamed and how do I connect to it?

We are exploring options to live stream the programme for all registered participants. Updates will be available soon.

How do I claim my CME credits if I join the event virtually?

In the case of joining the Conference virtually, the CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit claiming procedure. You will receive a link in an email at the end of the event. For more information, click here.

I am a presenter/speaker at the event, what should I do?

If I wish to cancel my registration, will I receive a refund?

If I booked my hotel with the conference organisers, what should I do?

Please check the cancellation policy of your booking.

  • If you have a non-refundable booking, we are working closely with the hotels to find an optimal solution and will send an update within a week.
  • If you have a refundable booking, we will contact you with options within a week
